@brian-smith-tcril: I'm in favor of making it frontend-base native. That would make it so we can avoid a dual-conversion (non-MFE -> legacy MFE -> frontend-base MFE).
@arbrandes: Same here, working on the assumption that this would target Verawood at the earliest.
