nhc-ohpc hangs on high core count nodes

nhc-ohpc is packaging nhc 1.4.3 which doesn't include mej/nhc#172, hanging on nodes with high core counts.

Is there any policy on which versions get packaged? 1.4.3 with patches isn't nearly as fast as the dev branch for 1.4.5. (although 1.4.4 is in release limbo)

It really depends. The perfect solution would be a release from upstream. Maybe in a first step try it with patches to see if that is better. At some point if it is necessary we can also select a development snapshot if that makes sense. A release would be preferred, but if that doesn't work we can solve it differently.
