[Feature Request] Improve torrent adding, right-click menu and sidebar

I have been using a Chinese-language fork of this project (https://github.com/jayzcoder/TrguiNG). This fork has many practical features, and I hope they can be added to the official TrguiNG release.

1、Implement the ability to add multiple torrents with one click,

When dragging multiple torrents into the web UI at once, a new task dialog pops up sequentially for each torrent, requiring me to manually click “Add” and select a download directory for every single one.
This is quite cumbersome. I hope all torrents can be combined into a single prompt, so we only need to click "Add" once, just like shown in the screenshot below.
It would be even better if a toggle button was added on the new download task panel, allowing users to choose whether to combine or separate settings for multiple torrent tasks.

2、Add options in the right-click menu to copy torrent names and download directory.

This is more efficient than copying from the details page, and it also supports batch copying when multiple torrents are selected.

3、Add new options to the right-click menu of the left sidebar:

display group sizes
double-click to select all torrents in the group. This function works for all grouping categories on the left: Status, Directories, Labels, Trackers.

4、Color change for different share ratio values.

This is extremely useful for PT users, as we can quickly check the seeding status at a glance.
This request was already raised in the Chinese fork and even provided simple code ideas, but its developer has not pushed any updates since 2024.

5、Is it possible to enable sequential download mode for individual torrents only?

I also hope these torrents can be marked with different colors or icons, so we can visually identify which ones have sequential download enabled.
Currently, there is no obvious way to tell at a glance whether a torrent is using sequential download.

6、Is it possible to add a button for the left sidebar to collapse/expand it to the left?

This will free up more vertical space on the main interface to display more torrent information.

7、Would it be possible to add buttons to open the folder containing settings.json? (or copy its full path)

This would make advanced configuration and backup much easier for users.

I love your clean, intuitive UI. I wouldn’t have learned and used Transmission without TrguiNG.
Many fellow Transmission users prefer TrguiNG, but most don’t use GitHub and thus cannot share their thanks or suggestions.

Thanks for suggestions, let me respond to each.

1. Are you aware of the setting to skip add dialog? It allows you to add lots of torrents with default (or last used) settings, which you can later batch edit. I know it's not the same thing but maybe it covers your use case. I'm not sure additional option to specifically batch add torrents during add dialog is needed, the functionality to edit multiple torrents is powerful enough.
2. I can't think of a reason why you would want to batch copy multiple torrent paths or names. What is your use case?
3. I like this.
4. This can be imlemented but I think it would be even better if it's a progress bar that fills up to some configurable ratio X.
5. They are always individual, if you add torrents/magnets through TrguiNG. The option in server settings only changes the server default which applies if you use an interface that doesn't send this option. But when adding torrents through my GUI the setting in add dialog always overrides that. To make it easy to tell if download is sequential I can add a column in the main table.
6. There is an option for that in the layout menu (right side of the toolbar).
7. The settings file is not meant to be hand edited. Majority of apps don't provide such function, power users can find it anyway and casual users will only be confused.

About showing "sequential" status, I just fixed a bug in a6fb678 where it didn't show properly in the status field.

1、I know there's an option in the Settings to skip the add dialog. However, if I enable this setting, I can no longer toggle the "Start immediately" option. This is because I sometimes only need to download part of the files within a torrent. Besides, I hope this feature can be improved in future Transmission updates to support renaming torrents when adding them.

2、I rarely need to copy torrent names or file paths in bulk. I only mentioned batch copy support in passing earlier. What I use most often is copying the name and path of a single torrent (Since the web UI does not support opening the torrent folder, I have to rely on a search tool instead). Without convenient right-click menu options, I have to double-click to open the torrent properties window to get its name, and switch to the Details tab at the bottom to locate the file path and select the text manually for copying.

4、A progress bar is indeed intuitive and displays more information, But I have a few concerns:
(1) It may take up extra space. The main interface is already quite cramped. I prefer showing various details such as torrent size and download/upload speed…After manually adjusting column widths, the current layout is just barely functional. I even consider hiding the left sidebar to gain more room. 😂
(2) It could cause visual confusion alongside the existing percentage progress bar for downloads.
(3)A color change effect can be toggled on/off temporarily. In contrast, adding a progress bar would mean having to resize the column headings manually.

5、Being able to enable sequential download mode for individual torrents is fantastic. It will greatly expand the applicable scenarios of this feature. ❤️
Since the column headers have limited space, could we replace the small green square at the far left of each row, or the default download percentage progress bar with a special indicator.

6、I know this option exists in the Layout menu, but it is not very convenient for daily use. It would be much handier to add a button on the left sidebar to collapse or expand it. I’m just speaking as an end user, though — some seemingly simple features can actually take a lot of work to implement. Sorry~ (:з」

1. I see your point but I think it's more common to want to put different torrents into different directories (or set different priorities) which you can't do if they are added in a single dialog. And if I make it a setting that you have to change before adding the torrent then it's not different to having to change a setting to skip dialog and then do a batch edit later.

Web UI doesnt because of browser limitations but the app version of TrguiNG supports opening the torrent file/directory directly.

There is a UI usability cost to having lots of options in the menus and making them too long. I think better option here would be to make the torrent name available in the details panel so that both location and name is easy to copy from there. That way you won't have to go into torrent properties dialog.

4. I was thinking of replacing the ratio column, it would take exact same space but would be a blue progress with text ratio up to X and then green at 100% when >= X.

5. I dont want to put non essential info into core fields of the table. It overloads the UI and also increases network and server load because it forces fetching more fields.
6. If you use this function often then use the keyboard shortcut, it's indicated in the menu.

If possible, I would still like to suggest: adding an option in the settings that allows users to choose whether to merge multiple torrents into a single dialog box when adding them simultaneously.
（When I batch-add dozens of torrents at once, the current behavior is quite tedious—I often find myself clicking through the prompts blindly just to get them added）
