So, the github-check jobs (ceph and non-ceph adoption) for this branch (18.0-fr3) have been failing on all rechecks since August 8th, with an error connected to the setup of the networking.
But they passed with this backport (there was an initial failure, but unrelated).
I think it is safe and future-proof to merge this backport, which may (hopefully) unblock the other backports.
