But since I was reading it, I thought I should make a note of it here. I know a book which is freely available in this link http://linuxclass.heinz.cmu.edu/doc/tlcl.pdf. The book is called "The Linux Command Line" by William Shotts. However, it only covers for Linux. Also ss64 is a good place to help with command line references. Hope this helps while updating the book
