Critical Issues Observed in Camera SDK on Motorola Edge 50 Series Devices on v4.2.32

We are currently integrating your camera SDK in our Android application and have identified multiple critical issues specifically on Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Motorola Edge 50 Pro devices.

These issues are consistently reproducible and are affecting the capture and preview workflow.

Issues Observed:
Crop Functionality Looping
On the preview screen, crop boundary lines are visible.
However, when attempting to crop, the action continuously loops (crop → recrop → repeat) and does not finalize the crop.
This prevents users from completing the capture process.
Corner Detection Instability
The corner detection (document edge detection) fails intermittently.
The corner indicators keep moving or appear to be “loading” indefinitely without locking onto the document edges.
This results in poor user experience and delays in capture.
Incorrect Image Quality Validation
Even with proper lighting and focus, the SDK throws validation errors such as:
“Image is too dark, consider retake”
“Image looks blurry, consider retake”
These messages block the Save button.
Retaking the image multiple times results in the same issue, making it impossible to proceed.
Impact:
Users are unable to complete image capture.
Workflow is blocked at preview stage.
Issue is device-specific but critical for production.
Request:

Kindly investigate these issues on the mentioned Motorola devices and provide:

Root cause analysis
Recommended fix or SDK patch
Timeline for resolution

Please treat this as high priority, as it is blocking our production usage.

We have released SDK version 4.2.34, which includes a fix for the reported behavior. Please update to this version and let us know if it resolves the issue on your end.
