For my iMac I downloaded the file mentioned above. From the eOS store I installed Eddy (pay what you want or use free). Then I opened Eddy and installed the .deb with that tool. Worked for me |

Good evening. I have installed Elementary 8.1.1 in many old Apple machines with excellent results, the combination of hardware and software is amazing. But recently I have been stuck in a situation that I couldn't solve: every driver I have tried seems to give the same result - freezing after seconds of connection. The driver that is initially installed by default is bcma. It recognizes, connects and then crashes. when i add modprobe -r to other drivers it doesnt prevent them from probing the kernel and freezing. b43 ssb brcmfmac brcmsmac all do the same. Than i tried the broadcom-sta-dkms following the steps cited here: https://gist.github.com/labibmuhajir/53d7d366acb0717932c162549ef6b2c2 . Again, the same problem, only that the system reports missing headers. Did anyone have success in making this card work? if not, would anyone suggest another card that could fit and replace the original ? thanks.
