I would like to report an issue with httpx but discussions are closed.

The preferred way of reporting issues in httpx is creating a discussion. However, discussions are currently disabled, see encode/httpx#3784. How do I report an issue?

I'm going to be honest, though I appreciate the fork, I would rather support @lovelydinosaur efforts. I can see work is being performed on other repos. I just think maintainers hit rough spots and get burned out.

Hopefully we will get a response and revive a clearly superior package over requests.

I second that. In my case, I am trying to fix multiple projects that depend on httpx and would prefer if they didn't all have to change dependencies. But currently this project looks unmaintained, which in the long run would force us to switch.
