I suggest to supress the GRUB update prompt, when updating trough the GUI.
Most people owning a computer do not even understand the question and has no idea what a bootloader is, much less what to actually choose here.
The help button says to choose all of them, if you are unsure. So why not just choose all of them by default when updating from the GUI, and hide the prompt? Advanced users will probably update from the terminal anyway.
This should be made easier for the GUI users, while still letting the experts retain full control over the machine when updating trough CLI, or maybe add a toggle called expert mode inside MintUpdate. From my point of view this would be a win-win.
