Foundry Agent preview share link does not preserve start prompt or description

When opening an Azure AI Foundry Agent preview share link, the configured start prompt and description are missing.

Desired Outcome

Expected

The shared preview link should show the agent's configured:

• Start prompt
• Description

Current Workaround

Actual behavior

The share link opens, but:

• Start prompt is not shown.
• Description is not shown.
• The preview shows the default welcome message instead: “How can I help you today, {Entra display name}?”

Steps to reproduce

1. Create an agent in Azure AI Foundry.
2. Set a description and start prompt.
3. Open the agent preview and copy the share link.
4. Open the link in another browser or with another account.
5. Observe that the start prompt and description are missing.
6. The UI shows the default welcome message instead: “How can I help you today, {Entra display name}?”

2026-05-14 update:

I found another error in the Agent Preview when opening it from a shared link.

It shows:

invalid_value Invalid 'thread_id': 'conv_ecdd....................................'. Expected an ID that begins with 'thread'.

Could this be caused by my configuration, or is it a potential bug in the shared-link / preview-agent flow?
