When is Intel IPU6 / MIPI / libcamera camera stack support expected? #28

Hey Alex, For IPU6/MIPI cameras: not supported right now. Visage currently talks directly to V4L2/UVC devices via Supporting it would need a separate libcamera backend and likely a different way to control the IR emitter, so there is no ETA at the moment. Contributions here would be very welcome. For Fedora: not packaged yet. COPR/RPM support would be nice, but for now Fedora users need to build from source. It should work with the usual Rust build flow once the required dev packages are installed. Also worth noting: Visage requires an IR-capable camera for anti-spoofing. RGB-only webcams are not supported as a fallback. |

I have a Thinkpad 2 in 1 gen 10 and was just wondering when support for the Intel IPU6 / MIPI / libcamera camera stack could be expected (no rush though, I know coding is time consuming and difficult). Are there any projects/alternatives I could use until then?
Also, is Fedora supported? Despite how popular Fedora is I can only find debian-based, arch-based, and NixOS in the readme
Thank you!
