Incredible mod with neat, funny and great additions, all while keeping the game aesthetics.

In my test, custom lights color of the "thematic kind" like Heartian Orange or Nomanian-Blue were plain white, but others colors worked well. I dont know if this is a bug from others mods or not.

"Manual Scout Recall" could use some clarifications, the scout can only be first launched from the ship, despite the model on the player hand still showing the scout. A simple text saying to the player that the scout is currently not in his possession and he must retrive it by launching it from the ship could help.

Also if you were to expand the mod, it could be cool to be have a weight system option, were the more you remove gadgets/tools/fuel/oxygen to your ship (like many of the options you currently got), the lighter the ship get, resulting in an increase of the ship speed. You could incite players to either make their ships worse to get better acceleartion, or overly equipped and ultra resistant but barely able to takeoff.

Such system could also beneficiate from a workshop, a place on or near the launchpad were you are able to add and remove the ship functions while in game (as opposed of while on a menu and with a loop restart)

I'm not sure what's going on with the Manual Scout Recall. If the scout model is in your launcher you should be able to launch it, it's only supposed to stop you from recalling the scout so that you need to go over and pick it up. Maybe another mod is messing it up?
If you recall the scout with the ship you need to manually grab it from on top of the ship where its scout launcher is attached because your handheld one can't recall it from the ship (I'm not sure if this should be included to maintain consistency, it makes it more complicated and it's a little annoying).

I just tested those two lighting colors and they are in fact both plain white, mainly due to the fact that the colors in code were written without a dash ("Hearthian Orange") and the colors in the settings were written with one ("Hearthian-Orange"). Should be fixed in the next update, thanks for pointing that out!

The weight mechanic is really cool, I never considered doing that. In the mod's current state I don't know how well I could implement it since a lot of the options don't actually "remove" things (they just disable them), but I'll keep it in mind.

A workshop on the landing pad would also be super cool, but that would probably require a custom menu which I don't really know how to implement. Maybe in the future I'll try adding it or I'll find some workaround for it.

I considered adding it but decided not to, mainly because increased thruster speed is a feature of most cheat mods already. You can also lower the ship speed already by using the thrust modulator or by using the smooth thrust option in General Enhancements.

Glad to see more updates to this mod, so time for way to many suggestions

Keep Ship Lights On : An option to keep the ship lights on while the player is outside. It's quite frustrating to get out thinking an area is lit, only to end up in total darkness.

Add Clock Gauge : An option to have a small clock gauge in the ship that keeps track of the time. The clock would represent the day/night cycle of timber hearth, and it would be synced with it. Each passing day would add to a small cadran, the loop ending on the 3rd day.

Add Gravity Reader : An option to have in the cockpit a screen reading out in which directions and how much the ship is attracted by gravity of other bodies. This suggestion is probably hard to code and not that useful.

Add Portable Flag : An option to have a portable flag of the Outer Wilds progam inside the ship as an item. I always wanted to do some flag planting in hard to reach or unexplored places, yet was never able to. Also bonus point if we can select, or even change the flag design.

Add Emergency Seeds : An option to have a seed bag / plant pot inside the ship as an item. Placed on ground it would grow up instantly, giving oxygen in a small radius.

Add Portable Fuel Canister : An option to have a portable fuel canister in the ship as an item. The canister could be placed on ground, were the player can then consume it once, depleting the canister.. Maybe for balance reasons make launching the scout while carrying it impossible like with the DLC artifacts.

Add Sap Wine Bottle : An option to have a famous hearthian bevrage inside the ship as an item, and being able to consume it. Effects could range from changing ship color to rainbow or divine, increase the ship input latency, disable seat belts, activate the big heads mode, dizziness and kazoo music.

Tether Hook Scout : Have the possibilty to attach your scout to your scout launcher with a tether hook, and unlock your inner spider man. Also useful if you have the option to not being able to recall it.

Move along tether : I've seen that we can walk on tethers if two tether hooks are on the same body, but it would be great if we could attach ourself to an existing tether and move along it, like some sort of mountain climber.

Tether Hook Achivement : I've not yet seen all the mod achivements, but I don't think there is one yet for tethering satellites from outer space back at home. (still haven't been able to bring a nomai shuttle).

Also only bug i've seen, being attached to a tether hook at Brittle Hollow's quantum knowledge tower will result in... a quite violent crêpe.

Thanks for leaving even more suggestions! I'm not sure if development will continue, but some of these sound great.

Keep Ship Lights On : I'll just expand this to cover the entire electrical system so that everything stays on when you leave. I'll definitely add this if I do another update

Add Clock Gauge : This sounds really cool and I think it would fit in with the ship nicely. I'm not sure how much use it would be in custom solar systems, but it's a nice touch anyways. I might add this depending on how difficult the modeling for it is

Add Gravity Reader : Probably not that difficult to get the different forces but I think it would be very hard to display it in the ship, and I'm not sure how helpful it would be anyways XD

Add Portable Flag : Sounds like an awesome idea, and it even works as a navigational marker. Sounds relatively easy so I'll probably add it

Add Emergency Seeds : I was thinking about a portable plant that you could bring with you, but this is way cooler and allows for a limited amount. Will probably include in another update if it happens

Add Portable Fuel Canister : To add onto this, it could have a remaining fuel display and it could function similarly to transferring fuel to the ship where you need to hold the refuel button; that way it can't be wasted by accidentally using your one refuel when you have 99% fuel left. Cool idea, I might add it

Add Sap Wine Bottle : Funny idea, I could see this being used for an achievement ("Drunk Driving"), but since it doesn't have many other practical uses I don't think it's worth it. Will probably not add

Tether Hook Scout : Really fun idea, but since the tethers were already a nightmare to get working in multiplayer I don't think I'm going to add this one. I might look into it someday

Move along tether : This would be amazing. I would have to figure out how to do it first and how difficult it would be (especially with multiplayer), so I don't know if I'll add it yet. I'm not sure why I didn't think about this when I spent an hour messing around with making tether lines from the ground to the launch tower XD

Tether Hook Achievement : Sadly, there is not an achievement for the tether. Towing the Deep Space Satellite back home sounds fun though, and after testing it I can say it's pretty easy. I'll add this if I feel like making more artwork for it

I had forgotten about that bug, I don't feel like fixing it though so I'll just add it to the Known Bugs section.

The warp core has a special interaction with gravity cannons: locking onto a planet with a gravity cannon or marking the cannon in your ship log will change where your ship warps.

Does anyone have a weird invisible circle around the ship’s cockpit when driving that makes the marked planet’s name invisible when it goes out of “the circle”? Also OWML keeps throwing errors mostly about “FMOD” and like 90% of them are about sounds, also I get heavy FPS drops (haven’t noticed when)

The invisible circle is caused by the ice that can appear on the cockpit, but it should be fixed in the next update. If you wanted to keep tabs on new updates, I post the changelogs for all of them on GitHub or on the OW modding Discord server.
I've never seen the FMOD error before, what mods do you have enabled?

It was just colliding with the DOOM in the ship log mod that I didn't realize I had left on, I'll keep tabs on the changelogs for sure because I'm loving this

After I disabled ship gravity crystal, 'Push Off' button (bound to jump) does not do anything. I presume it should push me off the ship's wall while not in the suit. What do I do wrong? I tried to remap the key, didn't help.

That was a good hint, apparently it is a collision with Hiker's Mod 'instant jump'. As soon as I change it to 'charged', 'push off' works nicely. Thank you very much! Excellent mod btw!

This is my favorite mod. I love the new ship features and the new items. I do have a few suggestions!

• Enable ship minimap when not using the landing camera
• Start hooked to the tether when placed
• Seeds! I know this has been suggested before but I love the portable campfire and being able to plant trees would be amazing. The resource pump is pretty good for O2 already but it might deserve a nerf >:)
• Use ship target for Return Warp with Signalscope? This is personal preference but I was confused that it was using the suit target with the split targeting. I don't mind using the copy target thing.

Bugs(?) Tested with no other mods on 'New Stuff' preset

• Turn off engine doesn't seem to properly work? Lights and autopilot turn off but you can still pilot the ship manually
• Text noise when waking up at the start of the loop?

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I was going to try releasing a hotfix today, so this was the perfect time for suggestions!

• This is a great idea, I always try using free look to see the map. I don't know why I never thought to just leave it turned on XD
• Auto-tethering to hooks is on my to-do list, my plan was to have it trigger when holding a certain button (like free look) while placing it. I want to add custom keybinds first though, that way I can avoid conflicts with mods using the same button
• Seeds are planned for an update to the Resource Pump! I'm hoping to completely rework the pump, and the oxygen output will be nerfed to make room for the seeds
• Whoops, nice catch! It should be using the ship's target, I'll make sure I fix that

• I had another person report this happening to them, but I'm not able to reproduce it, and I can't find anything in the code that might be causing it. If your game and mod are both up to date, you could try reinstalling the mod, but if it's still not working after that then I really have no idea how to fix it. It might just be something related to the platform the game is on, somehow
• I think that might be the oxygen refill notification in the ship? You shouldn't be hearing it from that far away, though. I can only hear it if I instantly debug teleport to the ship after waking up

I really appreciate you taking the time to share some ideas, if you come up with more I'd be happy to receive them! There's a Discord server for OW modding if you wanted an easier way to share ideas/report bugs, but if the comments section works better for you don't worry about it. @fleetamos-cmd I've heard about this bug in the past, but I've never been able to recreate it myself. I think it might be caused by another mod messing with Ship Enhancements. If you make an issue on this mod's GitHub page and list the mods you're playing with, I can try running those mods together and see if I get the bug too.

In the meantime, you could try running Ship Enhancements on its own and check if the bug is still there? If it's an issue with another mod, the bug should go away

Wow thanks so much for responding you are such a great dev! anyways me and my friend were playing and i decided to turn off the power to troll him a little and to my surprise he could still fly we tested it and it turned out all of us could still fly. i tried loading into a single player game and i could still fly with the power off i ended up taking every mod off of the mod list except for ship enhancements and i could fly while the engine was off. we managed to ignore it and just continue playing. anyways the mod is amazing and the best mod I've ever played with for outer wilds, very fun. this is my helpful feedback so hopefully you can get it fixed. thanks so much! (also i could give you my exact settings i have on for the mod and maybe that will help you idk)
