Deferring this upgrade. @babel/plugin-transform-flow-strip-types@8 requires @babel/core ^8 (this repo is on @babel/core 7.x), which causes an ERESOLVE peer conflict on install; and v8 raises engines.node to ^22.18.0 || >=24.11.0 vs this repo's 20 || 22 || 24 (dropping Node 20). It can only land as part of a coordinated Babel 7→8 toolchain migration (@babel/core, cli, preset-env, etc.) that also raises the Node floor — out of scope for a single-dependency bump.
