I'm interested in that, too.

So far, to install it on (K)Ubuntu 24.10, you have to add sudo apt install systemd-dev to the dependencies as well. Other wise an error would occur:

Makefile:27: *** "Failed to query pkg-config for package 'systemd'!". Stop.

Currently, I am not actively working on this. As I moved to wayland and it works only semi-well on wayland, I am not very motivated to continue development ATM.
