[Bug]: I don't trust the context window UI with claude-code as backend

Steps to reproduce

just use the claude-code as the backend and try Opus 4.7
it shows a 200K context window option -- even if I select that, context goes over it.

I'm always skeptical about the context window shown, doesn't look right.
even after a /compact it shows full, even though the compact was successful.

Expected behavior

• the UI should show what the real context window is. (not out of sync state)
• which after compact should have been way less than 1M
• when using 200K context mode, the conxt should not go over 200K even on 1M context window models. either that or don't show that option there. its misleading.

Actual behavior

this is the context window right after I did /compact using claude-code Opus 4.7 high on 200K selected window (UI)

I'm not sure if it is possible using cc sdk, but seeing the total tokens sent/received in a session/thread and the current exact context window size would be nice.
