AppImage Request: Ventoy
App Name: Ventoy
Website: https://www.ventoy.net
Source / Upstream: https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy
Latest Release: v1.1.12 — https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/releases/tag/v1.1.12
License: GPLv3
Description
Ventoy is an open source tool to create bootable USB drives from ISO/WIM/IMG/VHD(x)/EFI files. Unlike traditional approaches, you simply copy image files onto the USB drive and Ventoy presents a boot menu — no reformatting needed between updates. It supports x86 Legacy BIOS, IA32 UEFI, x86_64 UEFI, and ARM64 UEFI, and has been tested with 1100+ ISO files.
Why an AppImage?
Ventoy currently only provides official Linux builds as .tar.gz, with no native package formats. An AppImage would make Ventoy more accessible and enable efficient delta updates via zsync.
