Terminal and console pane behaves differently when changing their height

Hi!

I recently realised that the terminal pane is much "smoother" when I change its height, while the console pane is less "stable". I'm unsure what is expected here, but I wish the console pane were as smooth/stable as the terminal pane. Is this expected, and is it something we can do about?
