Is there connect EV3 via bluetooth in labs.pybricks.com?

We have recently started using EV3s agin thanks to labs.pybricks.com.
But our EV3s are quit old so the usb ports are unstable.

After it has the firmware set up(bia usb),
is it possible to download code to the EV3 via bluetooth in labs.pybricks.com(firmware v4.0.0b5) ?

No, we don't have Bluetooth support on EV3 yet. You have to use USB for now.

@dlech I am curious if you guys have explored WebSerial at all as a way to make Bluetooth work for the EV3s? It looks like the old Makecode project had some success with this approach many years ago: https://makecode.mindstorms.com/bluetooth

Not sure that they ever got it working from Chromebooks or only from Mac/PC

Yes, we have looked at that and plan to use it. We haven't tried it on a Chromebook yet though.

Ok, please let me know. I've gotten access to a chromebook and happy to test things out. We are certainly motivated to have things work.

I tested the beta with a chromebook via USB and it works!

The biggest gotcha is that there is no option to just download a program, just pressing Play. This is an issue when the robot starts to move while still tethered to a USB cable. Is there a way to address this - if not I worry about robots driving off of desks and broken USB ports
