Automatic Scan when document is recognized

It would be great to provide an option which scans the document automatically, when it is recognized for a defined time period (e.g. 3 seconds). This way, I can just point the phone to the page, wait a moment and then point it to the next page. The workflow would be much more fluent so and not tapping on the phone to scan avoids moving the phone when scanning.

I've seen this feature in other apps and I agree it can be useful. However, I also think it can easily become frustrating. For example, if the app captures the same page multiple times: you point the device to a page, it gets captured, and while you're preparing the next page, it gets captured again.

Avoiding this would likely require some form of duplicate detection, which is significantly more complex to implement than the automatic capture itself.

I understand your concern, so I would certainly make this feature optional (and probably inactive by default). I am also using another scanning app which has this feature and I would not like to miss this anymore once I got used to it.

Anyway, many thanks for your efforts the app improves significantly with every release!!

Yeah it would definitely be an optional feature, ideally with a configured timeout period. Also maybe the timeout could be delayed until the camera is mostly stable or the image is mostly the same with the previous frames.
