Smart ESC Navigation (Context-Aware Back Behavior)

Hi,

I built a small Windows utility that makes the ESC key context-aware, aiming to improve navigation experience.

Behavior:

• In browsers → ESC navigates back in history
• In File Explorer → ESC goes to the parent folder
• In other applications → ESC behaves normally

The idea is to make desktop navigation more intuitive, similar to a "back" action on mobile devices, while still preserving default behavior where needed.

I was wondering if something like this could be implemented as a Windhawk mod, and would appreciate any guidance on how to approach it within Windhawk.
