Brightness check does not work

Describe the bug
When I type a bright color for foreground or background, the color does not change to dark colors for opposite.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the input box
2. Type '/color fg white'
3. Enter
4. Type '/color bg white'
5. You will see white screen

Expected behavior
White screen
