I'm trying to use a card-shaped device (for Windows) that uses proximity sensing technology, which appears to be Bluetooth 4.0 BLE, to auto-log off when I leave my desk and auto-log in when I sit down.
The card has a hard switch to switch to pairing mode.
It didn't show up as a pairing target when I scanned from the Bluetooth icon in lxpanel, but when I tried pairing it with my Android smartphone, it showed up as a candidate and to be pairable.
so I'd be happy if this lxpanel`s Bluetooth connection icon supported BLE proximity sensing devices, just like my AndroidOS14.
It doesn't show up with hcitool scan, but the device name seems to be visible when I type sudo hcitool lescan .
Below is the example actual product I purchased second-hand. and maybe With this tool I am trying to achieve this

edit:
I still don't understand whether it really needs to be paired, and I'm just trying to do the same because the usage instructions on Windows says it's pairing.
Note: This product is originaly not intended for use with Linux.
