Please explain why this content is legitimate
onyx-trader.com is a free, browser-based platform for trading exchange-listed
futures contracts (index and commodity futures) and prop-firm evaluations.
It is not a crypto/Web3 application, and we believe this listing is a false
positive.
Specifically, the site has:
- No web3 provider integration of any kind: the site's served JavaScript never
references window.ethereum and never calls eth_requestAccounts, eth_sign,
personal_sign, eth_sendTransaction, signTypedData, or any other wallet RPC
method — verifiable by inspecting the live site's assets
- No wallet-connect functionality (no MetaMask, WalletConnect, wagmi, or
ethers.js integration anywhere in the codebase)
- No seed-phrase, private-key, or mnemonic entry fields
- No token approvals, signing requests, or on-chain interactions
- No cryptocurrency deposits or withdrawals
- No impersonation of any established brand — "Onyx Trading" is its own
futures-trading brand
We believe the listing was caused by brand confusion with an unrelated DeFi
project also named "Onyx," likely propagated via a SEAL-ISAC cross-listing
(ChainPatrol's own verdict for this domain is "Unknown"). We have filed a
parallel appeal with SEAL.
Verification:
We are happy to prove domain ownership via a DNS TXT record or an email from
an @onyx-trader.com address on request.
Is this a duplicate request?
