We could also use this for the direct usage rather than
new*API methods, but they should still be in the deprecated stage for a few months longer I think to give time for everything to be updated for sure. Makes it more maintainable also to not have to worry about suppressing depreciation when used in places and other things also. Depreciation also implies eventual removal which is not the case for things that should use@InternalAPIinstead.
