Is there any mechanism for tracking timing of analysis features end-to-end?

Since we are migrating analysis features from our own client-side implementation to using lsp4ij and a different set of language server endpoints, we're interested in tracking how long it's taking for features to work end-to-end. Are there any mechanisms in place in lsp4ij to allow for this?

You can see timing in the lsp console. You need to set trace as verbose or message in the Debug tab.

Great, is this measuring the time from request to response of the language server, or it covers time from user intention? I'm also hoping we can programmatically get these values in our plugin so that we can report to a centralized analytics database.

To be honnest with you, I have not think about that, perhaps it could be possible but not with a clean api.

Thanks for the info! We don't really need the timing from request to response, because we track that ourselves in the language server. What we really want is a way to get an end-to-end measurement, e.g. if we could have a hook into features so that we could record some timing or log something at the beginning of a user's request.

(Understandable if this is hard to provide and not a priority though!)
