DOC-2098, DOC-1434: Extend Serverless trial to 30 days; add GCP Marketplace self-service (#564)
* DOC-2098, DOC-1434: Extend Serverless trial to 30 days and add GCP Marketplace self-service - Update Serverless free-trial copy from 14 to 30 days (ENG-1190). - Add Use GCP Pay As You Go billing page mirroring the AWS equivalent (ENG-651). - Add Google Cloud Marketplace tab to the Serverless and Dedicated sign-up flows in cloud-overview and the Serverless partial. - Add GCP: Use Pay As You Go to the Billing nav. - Add What's New entries: May 2026 (Extended Serverless free trial) and April 2026 (Self-service sign-up through Google Cloud Marketplace). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * add links * Address review feedback: beta callout, cross-links, copy polish - Surface Serverless-on-GCP beta status on the GCP Pay As You Go page and in the April 2026 whats-new entry. - Rewrite May 2026 trial-extension sentence for clarity (AWS-cluster signal preserved; redpanda.com sign-up link split out). - Cross-link AWS and GCP Pay As You Go pages from each other's Next steps. - Restore trailing newlines on the partial and the AWS page. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * Update modules/billing/pages/gcp-pay-as-you-go.adoc Co-authored-by: Joyce Fee <102751339+Feediver1@users.noreply.github.com> * Update modules/get-started/partials/get-started-serverless.adoc Co-authored-by: Joyce Fee <102751339+Feediver1@users.noreply.github.com> * Update modules/get-started/partials/get-started-serverless.adoc Co-authored-by: Joyce Fee <102751339+Feediver1@users.noreply.github.com> * Update modules/get-started/pages/whats-new-cloud.adoc Co-authored-by: Joyce Fee <102751339+Feediver1@users.noreply.github.com> * Update modules/billing/pages/gcp-pay-as-you-go.adoc Co-authored-by: Joyce Fee <102751339+Feediver1@users.noreply.github.com> * Group Billing nav by cloud provider; trim Next steps links Address review feedback on PR #564: - Restructure Billing navtree to nest commit/pay-as-you-go pages under AWS / Azure / GCP group headings. - Remove cross-cloud links from Pay As You Go pages (a GCP user has no reason to read the AWS page, and vice versa). - Add Serverless cluster link to GCP Commitments Next steps for parity with AWS Commitments. === Extended Serverless free trial
12+
13+
The free trial for Redpanda Serverless on AWS now lasts 30 days, up from 14 days. The $100 (USD) credit allowance and 7-day grace period are unchanged. Sign up at https://www.redpanda.com/try-data-streaming[redpanda.com^]. See xref:get-started:cluster-types/serverless.adoc[Serverless clusters].

=== Self-service sign-up through Google Cloud Marketplace
18+
19+
You can now subscribe to Redpanda Cloud directly through Google Cloud Marketplace with pay-as-you-go billing, with no sales contact required. Self-service sign-up provisions Serverless and Dedicated clusters only. New subscriptions receive $300 (USD) in free credits to spend in the first 30 days. See xref:billing:gcp-pay-as-you-go.adoc[Use GCP Pay As You Go].
20+

=== Iceberg: Configurable table namespace
1222

1323
You can now set a custom namespace for Iceberg tables instead of the default `redpanda` namespace, using the `iceberg_default_catalog_namespace` cluster property. A custom namespace is useful when multiple clusters write to the same catalog provider (such as AWS Glue), because each cluster must use a distinct namespace to avoid table name collisions. This property must be set when you first enable Iceberg and cannot be changed afterward. See xref:manage:iceberg/about-iceberg-topics.adoc#enable-iceberg-integration[Enable Iceberg integration].

A https://www.redpanda.com/try-redpanda[free trial on AWS^] is the fastest way to get started with Serverless. Each free-trial customer qualifies for $100 (USD) in credits to spend in the first 14 days. This should be enough to run Redpanda with reasonable throughput. No credit card is required. To continue using Serverless after your trial expires, you can enter a credit card and pay as you go. Any remaining credit balance is used before you are charged.

When either the credits expire or the days in the trial expire, the clusters move into a suspended state, and you won't be able to access your data in either the Redpanda Cloud Console or with the Kafka API. There is a seven-day grace period following the end of the trial when you can add your credit card and restore service. After that, the data is permanently deleted. For questions about the trial, use the *#serverless* https://redpandacommunity.slack.com/[Community Slack^] channel.
