[Feature]: How can I make the cursor thicker?

Summary / problem statement

The text cursor in Notepad3 is far too thin, and the cursor indicator also fails to display properly. How can I make the cursor thicker?

My setup: Windows 11 Pro + Notepad3 (x64) version 7.26.426.516. I have already adjusted the "Text cursor thickness" setting in Windows system Settings, but it made no difference.

No problem with "Caret --> size:nn" :

• Open dialog via menu: Appearance --> Customize Schemes... (Ctrl+F12) select:
• Common Base (and/or 2nd Common Base) --> Caret (Color, Size 1-20)
