Updated MSVC installation command and path for Visual Studio 2022, previously it was actually 2026 on accident. Signed-off-by: William Woodall <wjwwood@gmail.com>

This should be perhaps more similar to what is currently done in CI
So let's keep it as similar as possible I would say. But yes at one point it should be updated in both here and CI

Just a general comment that I changed the settings for the visual studio install exactly as what we do in the ci docker file, but that is due for an update for sure (but might be better to do that seperately later once things have been properly tested) |
|
By the way, the windows ci has been updated with the msvc 2022 and deployed now so we can merge after acceptance and review |
|
@knmcguire what are next steps here? Just merge this and make sure that CI is aligned or vice-versa? |
|
Thanks for pinging here. I was suggesting some changes with my review still so I was waiting for a comment on those I guess! But otherwise we can also just go ahead and merge it as well. I'm not that picky about it 😄 There seems to be some conflict with the main branch though |
|
Also this needs to be backported to Lyrical as well |
|
So there has already been an update on the ros documentation with this already reviewed and merged: #6543. However, that way needs to be installed as it is behind a microsoft authorization wall, so I very much prefer this one instead... |
Description
I noticed that we're defaulting to 2022, so I opened this to update the docs to match, but I'm not sure when/if this should be merged.
I update the list of things to install using the export feature of the installer, see: https://stackoverflow.com/a/65249308
Did you use Generative AI?
No.
