Unchecking 'Unread Only' does not update message list unless local index enabled

When the user unchecks the view option 'Unread Only', the message list becomes empty.
NOTE: this is only the case if the user has no unread messages in their folder

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to https://runbox.com/app/
2. Ensure selected folder has no unread messages
3. Enable 'Unread Only'
4. View that message list is now empty
5. Disable 'Unread Only'
6. Message list remains empty

The message list should update and be populated will all messages for this folder when 'Unread Only' is unchecked.

I have also been able to reproduce this issue exactly. It only happens without the local index as mentioned in the title.
