Unable to overide template for messages

Code specifies '/templates/' and a file name of slack-incoming-message.ftl

I have tried using /templates, and then ./templates under rundeck folders and libext folder.

plugin version: 3.0.1
rundeck version: 2.10.7-1

I think is not possible to overwrite the template, it needs an enhancement

This has been marked for an enhancement for over 3 years. The code that this is based on, has the feature. Was it removed from this one?
