exFAT support

Is exFAT support something that would be considered? I am aware of https://github.com/qiuchengxuan/exfat, but it would be beneficial to have a single crate for the whole family of FAT filesystems.

It would be great but I believe it's still patented.

ext2 is legally less problematic and would let you have larger disks.

Yes, it is patented, but Microsoft made open-source implementation possible. I think the issue lies in how the implementation is used: if it is used outside of Linux or the OIN framework, then I believe users have to pay royalties. Thus, it is totally possible to provide an exfat support in embedded-sdmmc-rs, but users should be warned that its usage can lead to paying royalties.
