Blocked on upstream ecosystem compatibility, not branch governance.

Full technical rationale documented on #26. Short version:

aes_gcm 0.10 re-exports OsRng from an older rand_core version. Our use rand::RngCore; previously resolved to a compatible trait via rand 0.8's re-export. Rand 0.9 ships rand_core 0.9 — a new major — so the RngCore trait in scope no longer matches the one aes_gcm::aead::OsRng implements. Migration produced 3 compile errors in production crypto at src-tauri/src/security.rs:142,972,1026.

Clean fix requires upstream aes_gcm release with rand 0.9-compatible rand_core. Tracking RustCrypto/AEADs. Rand stays on 0.8 until that ships. Closing to avoid the auto-reopen cycle.
