There are no changes needed in software/firmware/scripting. Solder on and go! Reference the attached picture to see where pin 1 (the black dimple dot on the EEPROM/DATAFLASH) is and how the flash is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the CC1.1 to the CC1.2 and later. In this case it was already a CC2.0.
