Hi

1. Why does Essentials constantly request root access when the volume changes?
2. With Essentials installed, volume adjustments aren't as smooth as before but rather seem choppy. Can this be fixed?

You can turn off the use shizuku option in button remap so it only uses accessibility permission which is much better and less affective to the regular usage. The shizuku/ root approach is only there to keep it working while the display & AOD is off which accessibility does not allow and it's kinda buggy due to we having to manually listen for button inputs from hardware level.
