Preliminary Priority list for SDCTools

The first SDCTools User Group Meeting will be on 21.01.2021 (10am - 12:30pm CET).

During the Meeting we would like to discuss where you Users see the priorities for the SDCTools. Therefore, we provide you in the following with a preliminary Priority List:

1. General:
   a. Use of standard hierarchies (NACE, NUTS)
   b. Add information loss measures to mu-argus, Tau-Argus, sdcTable, sdcMicro
   c. Option to allow zero cells eligible for secondary suppression in frequency count tables
   d. Option to assign lower protection limit of 1 (instead of 0) to positive cells in frequency count tables
2. Tau-Argus:
   a. Support and contribution to work on Tau-Argus as a service (64 bit Java virtual machine version)
   b. Tabular input to Tau-Argus (additivity issues, keeping status of cells)
   c. Improved error messages
   d. Update manual
   e. Option to define a working directory
   f. Improved table presentation
   g. Allow to save and read recode files for tree-structured variables
   h. Improve detection and reporting of inconsistent statuses tabular input
   i. development of the method for protecting tables where for some of their subtables there is no suppression solution (due to ‘frozen’ cells)
   j. setting safety ranges for secondary suppressions
   k. Making argus Unicode compatible (non-standard ascii characters)
3. sdcTable:
   a. (Automated) testing of Tau-Argus related functionality against the latest stable sdcTable version
4. Additional suggestions
   Open to suggestions from your side on points no mentioned so far.
