Describe the feature

I'm using this action as an extension developer, I'd like to extend my CI pipeline to include riscv64 (I'm self hosting the runner).

Is there any possibility of getting support for riscv64 in this action in the near future ?

Note: the upstream ppa does include riscv support afaict (https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/ondrej/php/ubuntu/dists/noble/main/binary-riscv64/), I'm unsure if these are just meta packages.

The upstream ubuntu repos have support for 8.3 only, so that's the only version currently testable in CI.

Those are meta packages as you mentioned without actual riscv64 builds in the pool directory.

I'm happy to add support, but someone would have to sponsor the work to do the builds and hardware for self-hosted riscv64 runners.

Will github allow me to register a runner for you (or in general repos with a different owner) ?

If this is possible you are welcome to access the hardware I have - it's just an orangepi rv2, so it's slow but nothing like as slow as emulation (10 x 100 times slower to emulate riscv64 on x64 hardware).

I'm not sure, but if you have actions/runner patched to run on riscv64 like ChristopherHX/github-act-runner, it should allow registering using the x64 token as it is the same across arch.

I got a couple of VisionFive2 boards from a friend and was able to setup Ubuntu on it. These are a bit slow, but I will try to setup the runner on one of them and try to build.
