- Read replicas
- Active-active
Partitioning
Sharding (Transparent sharding)
- Citus - Citus is an open-source extension to Postgres that transforms Postgres into a distributed database.

Type of load:

OLTP - Online Transaction Processing
OLAP - Online Analytical Processing
HTAP - Hybrid Transactional/Analytical Processing
