It would be desirable to implement more complex search capabilities.

The currently available options are:

1. The CUDS API (i.e., get, iter)
2. The search utility function. Used to retrieve CUDS objects inside a container of any depth.
3. Get a CUDS objects by a UID.
4. Get CUDS objects by an oclass. (e.g., get all the CUDS objects of type Specimen. This includes the subclasses as well).

Additional required search capabilities:

1. Text search
2. SPARQL

• (Fuzzy) Keyword search
• Faceted search
• SPARQL (possibly reasoning involved)
• Class expressions (reasoning involved)
• conjunctive queries (reasoning involved)

Please clarify what features for search are available now first. do you refer to search as core API or as utility (like the simple text search is implemented now?)

We need to clarify what we mean by complex search versus simple search please.

Some of them are a bit too vague to me. It could be helpful to provide some examples.

Keyword search: Type a keyword and get some results

Fuzzy: Typos allowed

Faceted search: Filter your search results using filters for many different attributes (E.g. everything that has name x and size larger than y)

SPARQL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPARQL

Class expressions: You specify a class expression and get all the individuals of that class. E.g. the class of all labs that have at least one tennis balls in it.
