All aliases deleted

I installed the android app from github via obtainium but the moment I signed into my account, all my previously-made aliases were deleted. On the web app, they were in the trash. Restoring them didn't do anything because I couldn't receive emails from the aliases anyway. I just gave up and decided to use the web app but I still want to reinstall and try the android app again, just in case. However, I fear I may lose my aliases. Has this issue been addressed? Do I install from the playstore?

I use the fdroid version and never ran in to this I don't think it matters where the app is installed from.
