Summary
During, "Activity: Plan and implement backend tests task". The plan agent within codespace is stuck on planning the given task for a very large amount of time (30+ minutes) without coming to a conclusion for hand off to agent. This is currently blocking completion of learning path. It has also increased credits usage and I get a 50% of credits used alert.
How to reproduce
- Go to Exercise: Getting Started with GitHub Copilot
#1.
- Complete tasks / activities in order to reach the "Activity: Plan and implement backend tests task"
- Follow the instructions provided to your codespace. Switch to Plan agent and paste the first prompt - "I want to add backend FastAPI tests in a separate tests directory"
- Wait and observe.
Error: (indefinitely stuck in this state despite browser restarts and page refreshes)
This is the exact step at which the Plan agent keeps looping:
Additional context
There are other prompts in the exercise to guide the plan agent for a better approach. I initially thought may be the plan agent did not have enough instruction to accomplish given task so i combined these prompts and instructed the plan agent to do it again fresh. But it still went to an endless loop of "Got last terminal command".
I am using codespaces in the below broswer:
Microsoft Edge for Business
Microsoft Edge is up to date.
Version 149.0.4022.98 (Official build) (64-bit)
No network anomalies.
