Inventory (working title) is a repository for peoples stuff.

Inventory helps people keep track of the stuff they have and the stuff they want to get rid of: either by selling, giving away, or swapping. Users can enter things they have, and indicate their intentions for keeping or getting rid of their stuff.

We're building inventory in order to give people more access to material and social wealth, and also to keep shit out of the trash. Also, we waste a lot of our wealth and space. By creating a fluid interface for sharing, we're able to capture more of that wealth.

We're helping connect our unused items with our friends that want to use them.

Here are some ways you can use inventory:

To get rid of things

1. Enter the things you want to get rid of into inventory

2. Indicate whether you are interested in selling, lending, or giving your things away

3. Then indicate when & where you will be available to hand off your things to someone who wants them

4. When someone wants your stuff they'll contact you and come get it

Another way to get rid of things is to bring things to an inventory event

1. To get ride of tings at and inventory event

2. Indicate that you are going to an event

3. Indicate which of your inventory items you are bringing to the event

4. Go to the event with your stuff

5. We may or may not be able to guarantee that the event organizers can absorb all of the things you bring to the event

If you want to use inventory to get things

1. Search or browse for something you want on inventory

2. Indicate which items you want and are able to pick up

3. We'll send an email to the person who currently owns the stuff you want

4. And they'll let you know if they're going to be around when you expect them
