I was wondering if there would be any automated way to collect statistics about how much each plugin is used, and provide some summary statistics on the catalog start page for example?
It would be super cool to gauge which plugins are actively used and maintained, and which ones not.
The background for my question is that we were wondering if it could be worth it to include plugins for the automatic workflow tests on the snakemake workflow catalog, but then, which ones?
Some workflows probably require plugins to succeed their automatic linting test among other things.
On the other hand, we could also collect this type of information directly during catalog generation, which crawls through public repos anyway.
