The izus-fokus snakemake reporter plugin https://github.com/izus-fokus/snakemake-report-plugin-metadata4ing/ is under active development by @M-Jafarkhani for the next few months, and will need a long-term maintainer after that (he is a student). That repo seems to have features that aren't yet supported in this plugin.

@M-Jafarkhani @fbartusch are you able to collaborate on bringing the core features of both plugins together under this repo?

@elichad On monday we had a meeting and decided that @M-Jafarkhani will do a PR here. Development will happen in this repo then. Then we will first work on a proper CI/CD pipeline.

@M-Jafarkhani: Is there progress on the PR? I added some new pixi environments to pyproject.toml for testing against Python versions currently supported by Snakemake (3.11 - 3.14). These can be used by a CI pipeline:

Good, regarding the PR, I am still working on the code to remove unrelated codes as well as some refactors, I think it will be ready by the early next week.
