improve catalog display on narrow screens such as phones

• currently cards are all displayed on a 3-column grid
• if screens are longer than wide, it would be better to display 2- and for very narrow devices 1-column grids
• this is possible with custom CSS as e.g. implemented in the docusaurus card/grid templates
