Problems with lightning and dark colors on the GUI

Hello guys,

I have been having some problems where my models look very dark (particularly the collision meshes and the visual meshes. I have attached here some screenshots of my models and also of the pneunet gripper tutorial

OS is: Ubuntu 24.04
Version 25.06.99
Intalled using --preset=supported-plugins -DPLUGIN_SOFACUDA=OFF -DPLUGIN_CGALPLUGIN=OFF.

does someone know how can I fix this problem?

Your rendering is strange. On my side I've got this running SoftRobots/examples/tutorials/PneunetGripper/details/step7-grabTheCube.py

I am trying to thing of a reason... @fredroy @alxbilger @epernod any idea ?

i forgot to add that this is the master version

Same here, the most recent commit on master is what you see in this picture. Could you provide also the full log displayed in the console when you launch SOFA ?

the version I had is I think 1 or 2 months old so I'll install the latest one just in case and I'll comment here again

so I installed the latest commit from the master version and its working fine. It was probably a problem with the previous version. I didnt change anything else, just the version

The first thing you can do, is to identify if one of the display flags makes the rendering malfunction. Check each flag one after the other:

Can you point us to a scene available online (in SOFA repo or on any other plugin (SoftRobots?)) where this happens?

Thank you very much for the comment. I am currently reinstalling sofa from the latest master commit just in case. After that I'll check the displays. The scene of the first 2 pictures is step7 of the pneunetgripper of the tutorials of the soft robots plugin
