Description:

When Spotify is installed in the user directory (~/Applications) instead of the system directory (/Applications), spicetify rejects the manually configured path with an error. User has no admin/sudo access.

Steps to Reproduce:

Install Spotify in ~/Applications (no admin rights)

Install spicetify v2.43.2

Run spicetify config spotify_path "/Users/93931/Applications/Spotify.app"

Run spicetify apply

Expected Result:
Spicetify accepts the manually configured path and applies customization.

Actual Result:

error /Users/93931/Applications/Spotify.app is not a valid path. Please manually set "spotify_path" in config-xpui.ini to correct directory of Spotify.
Additional Info:

The path is correct and Spotify works normally

spicetify path command also fails with same error

User has no sudo access, cannot move Spotify to /Applications

Issue persists after clean reinstall

--bypass-admin flag does nothing

Environment:

macOS: 26.4.1

Architecture: ARM64 (Apple Silicon)

Spicetify version: 2.43.2

Spotify version: 1.2.90.451

Spotify location: /Users/93931/Applications/Spotify.app
