One of the first questions I get when explaining the Standard for Public Code to someone new is, "Where's it being used? Who's adopted it?"
The README as is and #1 address who's using it, but not yet who's adopted it or where it's recommended (the other important piece of social proof). There's an older history of policy recommendations for the Standard at Policy documents that mention the Foundation for Public Code, but:
- this is no longer maintained
- it isn't linked from the Standard's current home
I propose adding this information as a new, last subheading under "Who's using the Standard for Public Code" on the Github org page README.
The MVP is to simply copy the Standard-related links from the Foundation for Public Code page (note: some are now broken), and then to add any new ones since 2023.
