I am facing a very unusual and unexpected issue. So far, three instances have been identified over the past one and a half months, but the root cause has not yet been determined.
I pulled the Star SDK logs and will share the details here.
First instance:
2026/05/08 11:16:32.505
Second instance:
2026/05/16 13:06:14.365
Third instance:
2026/05/21 18:08:49.298
What happens is that the printer works fine initially, but whenever the printer remains in an idle state for more than 30 minutes or some cases 2-3 hours, this issue occurs.
I have included the timestamps from the Star SDK logs, which I am also attaching for reference.
I also had a call with the customer to understand how the printer recovered from the issue. According to them, they simply rebooted the printer (turned it off and then back on), after which it started working normally again.
I am using a single printer instance throughout the entire application lifecycle.
