Thanks for the bump suggestion, but we need to keep @types/vscode pinned at 1.95.0 intentionally.

Why we're not merging this

The engines.vscode field in package.json is set to ^1.95.0, meaning this extension must work on VS Code 1.95.0 and later. The @types/vscode version serves as a compile-time guard — it ensures TypeScript will error if we accidentally use any API that doesn't exist in 1.95.

Bumping types to 1.118.0 would silently allow us to call APIs from the last 23 VS Code releases (1.96–1.118), which don't exist on older VS Code installs. This would:

• ✅ Compile without errors
• ❌ Crash at runtime for users on VS Code 1.95–1.117

The fix: always match @types/vscode to the minimum engine version.

If you'd like to raise the minimum VS Code requirement for this extension, please open a separate discussion/issue so we can evaluate the trade-offs consciously.
